State Highway 23 is closed in both directions from Ferguson Road to Te Pahu Road following a serious crash.

The road will remain closed this morning while emergency services work at the scene.

It is anticipated that the road will remain closed until the early afternoon. People are asked to delay their journey if possible or expect delays.

Detours available as below:

• Eastbound: Right onto Ferguson Road, Left onto Te Pahu Road northbound to SH23.
• Westbound: SH23 left onto Te Pahu Rd right onto Ferguson Road. Northbound to SH23.
