Due to a truck roll, State Highway 5 has been closed between State Highway 30 and Tumunui Rd since early this morning.

The road is scheduled to reopen later this evening under stop/go traffic management.

Drivers are urged to take care and adhere to any temporary speed limits.

The current detour available is:

Southbound traffic: SH30 on to Bryce Rd, then Tumanui Rd and on to SH5.

Northbound traffic: take the reverse route for SH5 onto SH30.

Detour is not suitable for heavy vehicles.
