NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi advises road rehabilitation work will take place on State Highway 1 (SH1) southbound between Highbrook Drive and East Tamaki Road.

There will be a full closure of southbound lanes from Highbrook Drive to East Tamaki Road for approximately 6 overnight shifts between Monday 28 April and Monday 5 May from 9pm to 5am, excluding Friday and Saturday nights.

A signposted detour will direct road users to the East Tamaki Road southbound on-ramp via Highbrook Drive, Hellabys Road, Bairds Road, Otara Road and East Tamaki Road. This detour is HPMV approved.

Due to the size of the closure, traffic management will begin setting up before the closure start time. You may see equipment (signs and cones) being laid out, but access to SH1 will remain until 9pm.

Our team will be carrying out reconstruction and resurfacing of the road and there will be increased noise levels.
